220 to 110 V VFD: a niche for imported equipment
Requests for a "220 to 110 V drive" reach us rarely: 5-10 orders per year. The typical customer is a lab or a workshop that imported an American, Japanese, or Taiwanese motor rated at 110 V. A standard Ukrainian VFD outputs either 380 V three-phase or 220 V single-phase. To run a 110 V motor we use models with a programmable V/f curve: we set maximum output to 110 V at the rated frequency and the drive will not exceed it. On the market that is Veichi AC10-S2, INVT GD10/GD20-S, Delta VFD-EL S, all single-phase 220 V input.
What we ask before a 220 to 110 V order
Tell us the motor type (3-phase 110 V or single-phase 110 V with a start capacitor), the rated current in amps, and the rated frequency (60 Hz for US/Japan, or 50 Hz for some equipment). This is important: the VFD is set up via the "motor rated frequency" field and computes V/f from it. With a single-phase 220 V input the available power is up to 2.2 kW. Anything bigger needs an isolation transformer 380 to 110 V and a three-phase VFD on the output. Warranty is 12-18 months, shipping from our Kyiv warehouse takes 1-3 days.
