Pressure sensor: which accuracy class for water, hydraulics and pneumatics
We install pressure sensors for three typical jobs. First: water supply and borehole pumps (range 0-10 bar, accuracy 1%, IP67). The bestseller from our stock is Danfoss MBS 3000 (general industrial, range -1...60 bar, 4-20 mA, price 4500-7500 UAH) and Sick PBT for heavy hydraulics up to 400 bar. For breweries and food-grade jobs we keep sanitary Endress+Hauser Cerabar PMP21 with an oil-free diaphragm.
What we ask before the order: medium, range, output
One: what medium are you measuring. Water, air: standard MBS 3000 or Sick PBT. Acid, alkali: corrosion-resistant PMP55 with Hastelloy C-276 diaphragm. Steam or hot oil up to 200°C: separate series with a cooling siphon, ask separately. Two: working range plus 30% safety margin. If your nominal is 6 bar, we ship a 0-10 bar unit, not 0-6, because water hammer kills the diaphragm. Three: output (4-20 mA for pump VFD, 0-10 V for PLC analog input, IO-Link for a smart cabinet with diagnostics).
