Solar pump inverter: when it replaces the grid
Customers come to us for a solar pump inverter when the grid at their site is either unstable or simply not there. A typical customer this year: a farmer in southern Ukraine with a 2.2-5.5 kW pump for drip irrigation, or a homeowner in Kyiv region where blackouts run on a schedule. Instead of a diesel generator we ship Veichi straight onto the PV array. No battery bank, no grid-tie inverter. Sun is up, water flows.
How it works technically. Panels deliver DC up to 850 V. The inverter with built-in MPPT holds the operating point at peak current insolation and converts to three-phase AC with 0-50 Hz frequency. The pump motor spins exactly as much as sunlight reaches the array. Cloud passes: frequency drops, pump slows down but does not stop. Our warehouse most often ships SI30-SS2-1R5G-R 1.5 kW (water-level sensor included, MPPT 150-450 V per the manufacturer datasheet).
First question we ask: single-phase or three-phase
Single-phase 220 V household pump: we take SI30 with the SS2 modification. It accepts a single-phase 220 V input and outputs three-phase voltage for the motor. Common case for residential wells. Three-phase 380 V pump: here we use SI21 (up to 30 kW) and SI23 (37-200 kW). We ask up front: well depth, pump flow in m³/h, how many panels you plan. Without those three numbers any selection is a wild guess. Warranty 2 years, ship from our Kyiv warehouse in 1-3 days.
