Inovance: when we choose it, and when we go to INVT or Schneider
Inovance (Shenzhen Inovance Technology) is one of the top-three Chinese makers of frequency inverters and servo drives. We stock 27 models in three series, all on a three-phase 380 V input (we carry no single-phase units in this range). This year the typical customer is a manufacturing plant, water supply, ventilation or machine-tool job that needs reliable open-loop vector control without paying for a European brand. In this niche Inovance sits a step above the budget INVT and Veichi (roughly 10-15% more in the same open-loop class), but it gives a cleaner install: a built-in C3 EMC filter already in the MD310, and a built-in DC reactor in the MD520 from 18.5 kW. Where you need a heavy start, precise positioning or a closed loop with an encoder, we fit the MD520; for basic control Inovance is not always mandatory, and we say so honestly.
We keep the popular ratings from 0.75 to 18.5 kW in the MD310 and the heavier MD520 positions in stock. Warranty is 24 months, delivery across Ukraine in 1-3 days. Before an order we ask three things: which mains (220 or 380 V), what is being driven (pump, fan, conveyor, crane) and whether a fieldbus is needed (Modbus, CANopen, PROFIBUS, EtherCAT).
Inovance frequency inverter series
MD310: open-loop for pumps, fans and conveyors
9 models, 0.75-18.5 kW, 9,794-39,547 UAH. V/f plus sensorless vector control (SVC), a built-in C3 EMC filter and onboard Modbus-RTU. There is no built-in brake chopper, so for frequent braking the resistor is connected through an external unit. This is the budget-to-mid workhorse: pumps, fans, conveyors, machine tools. For example, the MD310T18.5B-INT (18.5 kW, 37 A) is in stock — a typical pick for a fan or pump without a heavy start.
MD520: closed-loop for heavy and precise duty
17 models, 2.2-160 kW, 29,700-517,000 UAH. Everything the MD310 has, plus closed-loop vector control (FVC with a PG encoder), the STO safety function, a built-in brake chopper (up to 75 kW; an external unit from 90 kW) and a built-in DC reactor from 18.5 kW. The fieldbus set is full: Modbus and CANopen onboard, PROFIBUS and EtherCAT optional. This is the flagship for heavy and precise loads: cranes, hoists, compressors, high-power pumps and fans. When a customer needs to start a crane or hold torque at low speed, the MD310 no longer copes — we move to the MD520, for example the MD520-4T18.5BS-INT (18.5 kW with a closed loop and a brake unit).
MD200: compact general-purpose series
1 model in the catalog now, 3.7 kW, 14,520 UAH. A compact general-purpose V/f inverter with RS-485/Modbus. We use it for simple jobs that do not need vector control and where saving cabinet space matters.
Which Inovance series to choose?
A pump, fan or conveyor on 380 V up to 18.5 kW without a heavy start: choose the Inovance MD310 — open-loop control covers it. A crane, hoist, compressor, precise positioning or torque at low speed: the Inovance MD520 with a closed loop, STO and a built-in brake unit. A simple general-purpose task with minimal requirements: the Inovance MD200. If you are unsure between the MD310 and MD520, the rule of thumb is simple: a smooth pump or fan drive only needs the MD310, while a dynamic start under load calls for the MD520.
