Trina Solar is stocked as the TSM series: monocrystalline modules from 435 to 710 W at 20.4–23.1% efficiency. That top end is the highest of any solar panel we carry. The line includes compact 435–445 W units in a 1762×1134×30 mm frame weighing 21 kg, and it includes the TSM-NEG21C.20-710 at 710 W, the most powerful single module in our range.

Two Trina modules use a non-standard 1303 mm width instead of the usual 1134: TSM-NEG20C.20-615 (2172×1303×33 mm, 34.9 kg) and TSM-NEG21C.20-710 (2384×1303×33 mm, 38.3 kg). A standard layout will not take these frames. Check the spacing of your mounting rails and the span length before ordering, and treat 38 kg as a two-installer lift plus a separate check on the structural load.

Current varies just as widely: from 9.99 A on the TSM-NEG9R.28-435 to 17.36 A on the TSM-NEG21C.20-710, with Voc between 43.0 and 52.6 V. High-voltage, low-current modules allow longer strings on thinner cable; the high-current 615–710 W units reach the MPPT input limit much sooner, so plan their parallel strings separately.

How many Trina panels make 10 kW?

Sixteen TSM-NE19R-625 modules give exactly 10 kW; fourteen TSM-NEG21C.20-710 give 9.94 kW. Allowing for oversizing, a 10 kW inverter takes up to 20 modules. With the compact 435–445 W units you need 23–24 panels, but each weighs 21 kg against 38.3 kg for the 710 W module — a completely different proposition on a roof.

What is special about the 710 W Trina panel?

The TSM-NEG21C.20-710 is a bifacial 132-cell module, 2384×1303×33 mm, 38.3 kg, 22.9% efficiency, 17.36 A. It is the most powerful single panel in our range. Its non-standard 1303 mm width and current above 17 A mean two things must be verified: the pitch of the mounting rails and the maximum MPPT input current of the inverter.

What is the difference between the Trina DE, NE and NEG series?

In stock they form three efficiency bands. TSM-DE covers 445–580 W at 20.4–21.5%, the older generation. TSM-NE covers 610–625 W at 22.6–23.1%, the highest efficiency in the brand. TSM-NEG covers 435–710 W at 21.7–22.9% and contains all three bifacial modules as well as both wide 1303 mm frames.

Which Trina panels are bifacial?

Three items: TSM-NEG21C.20-710, TSM-NEG9R.28-435 and TSM-NEG9RC.27-445. The latter two use the compact 1762×1134×30 mm frame at 21 kg, so a bifacial panel is not necessarily bulky. The rear-side gain depends on the surface beneath: over light gravel or a white membrane it is significant, over dark bitumen it is marginal.

Why do Trina panels of the same rating have different currents?

Because power is voltage multiplied by current, and the same wattage can be reached in more than one way. The TSM-NEG9R.28-445 delivers 445 W at 44.3 V and 10.05 A, while the TSM-NEG20C.20-615 delivers 615 W at 35.9 V and 17.12 A. That matters in design: the first allows a longer string on thinner cable, the second reaches the MPPT current limit sooner.
