A VFD control cabinet: a finished assembly instead of site work
People reach this category two ways. Some bought a variable frequency drive on its own and then found they also needed an enclosure, an input breaker, buttons, a sensor. Plus someone to wire and commission the lot. Others skip that and look for a finished unit with a visible price. This category is for the second group.
By control cabinet we mean an IP54 steel enclosure that already holds a Veichi VFD, an input breaker, control hardware, internal wiring. We assemble it, we label it, we do the basic drive setup before shipping. One cabinet runs one motor. No exceptions: two pumps means two cabinets, or a separate project with cascade logic.
The catalogue holds 75 builds: 25 per application, from 0.75 to 315 kW, all for a three-phase 380 V supply, with an IP54 enclosure rating. Up to 75 kW the build is wall-mounted, from 90 kW it is floor-standing. Sizing comes down to a single rule: the motor nameplate current has to stay below the rated output current of the drive, and we publish that drive current in the specifications of every cabinet. The input breaker up to 185 kW is Schneider Electric; on the larger frames we fit a device of the matching frame size and record the model in the spec sheet.
Three lines: pump, fan, compressor
The power section is identical in all three: same drive, same enclosure, same input protection. The only difference sits in the control loop, and it costs exactly 2,600 UAH up to 22 kW or 2,990 UAH from 30 kW. That is the price of the pressure sensor together with the dry-run protection, which only the pump line carries.
| Line | What the base adds | Cheapest item | Line page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pump | Pressure sensor plus dry-run protection, PID control | 33,204 UAH (0.75 kW) | Pump control cabinets |
| Ventilation | Nothing: control by frequency setpoint or external signal | 30,604 UAH (0.75 kW) | Ventilation control cabinets |
| Compressor | Same base as ventilation; for a hard start we advise ordering one frame size up | 30,604 UAH (0.75 kW) | Compressor control cabinets |
There is no pressure sensor in a compressor cabinet. Pressure in a compressor is handled by its own controller or pressure switch, and we do not touch that logic. Want our sensor on the line anyway? Tell us before assembly, since it changes the bill of materials.
The gap between the lines is the same across the whole range, and that is not a coincidence. We checked all 25 frame sizes: a ventilation cabinet and a compressor cabinet cost the same to the hryvnia at every power rating, while the pump version is dearer by exactly one fixed amount. So you are not paying for a "pump build" as a class, but for two specific components in the control loop. If an external controller already holds the pressure in your system, you do not need the pump line.
The supply across this category is three-phase 380 V. There is no single-phase build here: a 220 V drive does fit in a cabinet, but that becomes an item built to specification, because the input device and the schematic both change. The same goes for 660 V networks. Tell us your supply voltage before you order.
A catalogue cabinet or a project to specification
The boundary is simple. If the job comes down to one motor on a three-phase 380 V supply holding a pressure or a speed, take a catalogue item: the price is fixed, the build content is known, and the Buy button behaves as on any other product.
You need a project when the job includes any of these: cascade control of several units with rotation, a bypass for drive maintenance, a PLC with an operator panel, SCADA reporting, a single-phase supply, outdoor installation, fire-safety automation. None of that belongs to the catalogue base, and none of it is a cart option: the bill of materials, the enclosure size and the price all change. We price that scope separately through turnkey automation.
There is a third option people ask about less often: you may not need a cabinet. If you already have an enclosure and the motor sits in a clean room, buy the drive on its own. And if the speed never has to change and the question is only about the start, we compared both routes in a separate piece. Background on frequency control of pumps is here.
How to read the cabinet code
The code follows the mask CH-{application}-{power}-{voltage}. CH-PUMP-5R5-380 is a pump cabinet for 5.5 kW at 380 V; CH-FAN-011-380 is a fan cabinet for 11 kW; CH-COMP-022-380 is a compressor cabinet for 22 kW. Fractional ratings use the letter R in place of the decimal point (5R5 = 5.5 kW), whole ratings use three digits (011 = 11 kW). The drive model is not in the code, it lives in the item specifications.
Prices, VAT and the order process
Prices on the site include VAT, and we issue an invoice on request. We hold no stock of finished cabinets: all 75 builds are assembled for a specific order, so this is not an off-the-shelf product. Built to order in 7-10 working days from confirmation. Warranty is 24 months on the finished cabinet under the shop's general warranty terms.
From there the sequence runs as follows. We fix the bill of materials in a spec sheet, assemble the cabinet, label the circuits, set the drive's base parameters for your motor, and then ship it. Some parameters are worth agreeing before assembly: motor rated current, frequency limits, ramp times. Once it has shipped, that work moves to site.
Not sure which line or frame size you need? Send a photo of the motor nameplate and your supply details to our service team, and we will tell you which catalogue item fits without rework. If none of them fits, we will say so rather than sell you the nearest one.
