11 kW VFD: three-phase 380 V is standard, single-phase 220 V only for small sites
The 11 kW size in our warehouse is the workhorse for a mid-range industrial motor. Rated current sits around 24-25 A on three-phase 380 V, or up to 50 A input on single-phase 220 V (current is roughly tripled on the input side). Typical customer this year: a farm with a grain conveyor, a pumping station with a 7.5-11 kW deep well pump, or a wood shop with the main rip saw. Sales leader over 12 months: Veichi AC10-T3-011G-B: 23 units sold. Scalar control, 380 V. We ship it for conveyors or machine tools, the most common pick.
For three-phase pump or fan loads we ship Veichi AC310-T3-011G/015P-B (10 units). The AC310 has a built-in PID, holds pressure or flow without an external controller. The European-camp alternative is Schneider Altivar 310 ATV310HD11N4E (6 units). More expensive, with a full English diagnostic menu. Single-phase top pick is one model: Veichi AC310-T/S2-011G-B (4 units). We ship it only when you have no three-phase line. But 11 kW on single-phase 220 V draws a very high input current. Check your breaker. Check the cable.
What we ask before ordering: heavy start or light, cabinet or wall
At this power level, mistakes are expensive. First question. Load type. Pump, fan, centrifuge with slow ramp-up: light start, the scalar AC10 handles it. Crusher, press, loaded screw conveyor: heavy start, you need 150% for 60 seconds. If the manufacturer datasheet shows Heavy Duty 150% / 60 s, the AC310 is exactly that. The AC10 sometimes trips on overload in heavy duty, customers report this most often to our tech support.
Second question. Where you mount it. At 11 kW you already need a cabinet with ventilation, all our stock models are basic IP20. Without a cabinet (open shop, pump house) it does not live long. Third question. Will you need a braking resistor. On 11 kW motors with inertial loads (spools, screws) a sudden stop without a resistor will trip the VFD on overvoltage. The AC10 or AC310 has the braking module built in, you only add the external resistor. Warranty: Veichi 24 months. Schneider 24 months. Delivery from our Kyiv warehouse takes 1-3 days. At 11 kW this is already a 5-7 kg unit, we ship by Nova Poshta.
