Siemens VFDs: when SINAMICS, when a simpler brand fits
Customers buy Siemens SINAMICS from us when they are already standardized on the German lineup (S7-1200/1500 PLCs, ProfiNet panels) or when they sell into the EU where SIL 2 / PL d STO is required on the declaration. The catalog carries 182 Siemens models across 9 series, 0.1 to 900 kW. SINAMICS V20 is the workhorse 0.1-22 kW for pump, fan, conveyor jobs. Minimum parameters, runs in 15 minutes. SINAMICS G120 is modular (CU + PM), vector control, STO, programmable DCC logic right inside the drive. SINAMICS G110 is a 220 V single-phase compact up to 3 kW. MicroMaster 420/430/440 is the previous generation, still available from our stock, with a strong price-to-feature ratio.
What we ask before you order Siemens
First: the job and the surrounding system. If Siemens PLCs and ProfiNet are already there, G120 is the default with no debate, because S7 integration takes us an hour. If it is just a motor-pump with no PLC at all, V20 is cheaper and simpler. Second: power and supply. Single-phase 220 V up to 3 kW – G110 or V20. Three-phase 380 V – the full V20/G120/MicroMaster lineup, just pick the load class (LO for pump-fan, HO for heavy starts with 150% overload).
Third: safety. STO (Safe Torque Off) is not in V20, only G120 from CU240 up. If the project needs SIL 2 / PL d per EN 62061, it has to be G120 with the safety module. We ship popular 1.5 / 3 / 5.5 / 11 / 22 kW from our Kyiv warehouse in 1 day. Other series come on factory order in 2-4 weeks. Siemens factory warranty is 12 months from commissioning, extension to 24 months is optional via service. We do series selection and start-up parameters free.
