The Veichi AC10-T3-015G-B frequency converter has a nominal power of 15 kW with 3-phase/380 V power supply and provides a maximum output frequency of up to 600 Hz, ensuring effective control of electric motors. Veichi AC10 — compact VFD for pumps, fans and simple drives

AC10 is the smallest drive in the Veichi range. It covers 0.75 to 22 kW and fits in your palm (177×65 mm for the smaller models). We've supplied over 150 units in the last two years — most went to borehole pumps on private properties and small workshop fans.

The main advantage: it runs off a generator without tripping. A built-in kinetic buffer uses the motor's inertia during a voltage dip — the drive doesn't shut down, it just lowers the frequency for a fraction of a second. For farms and sites without a stable grid, that's critical.

What AC10 is good for

• Borehole pumps 0.75–2.2 kW (1ph/220V): the most popular use. Built-in PID holds pressure, sleep mode shuts the pump off once pressure is reached — saving energy and wear. Setup: VFD for a borehole pump.
• Exhaust fans 0.75–7.5 kW: scalar U/f mode, smooth jerk-free start.
• Packaging machines 0.75–4 kW: sensorless vector, 600 Hz max — suits high-speed spindles.
• Woodworking 2.2–7.5 kW: routers, edgebanders — the compact body saves cabinet space.

AC10 wins on two things: 600 Hz for high-speed motors and a built-in braking unit (external on Delta and INVT). But if you need CANopen or Profibus — none of AC10, GD10 or VFD-EL have them: then look at the AC310 with expansion cards.

AC10 parameters that save you on commissioning

• Reverse without swapping phases: direction changes in software via F07.05 (units digit = 1 to invert). No need to touch the terminal block. Step by step: motor reverse on Veichi.
• Start from terminals, not the keypad: F01.01=1 moves the RUN command to the control board terminals (then pick 2-/3-wire mode in F05.20), wire the Start button to COM. Remote control.
• External potentiometer: F11.30=1 switches the serial port to an external keypad with a potentiometer (RJ45). While the port is used for the potentiometer, Modbus over RS485 is temporarily unavailable — that's expected. How to connect a potentiometer.
• Auto-restart after a voltage dip: F07.06=1 (on AC10 the range is only 0~1), restart wait time is F07.07 = 0.00–60.00 s. On a generator it keeps the pump running without a manual restart. Auto-restart after E.Lu.
• Braking resistor: for frequent braking the resistance is chosen by power (for 1ph/220V: 0.75 kW ≈200 Ω, 1.5 kW ≈100 Ω, 2.2 kW ≈75 Ω) — this clears the DC-bus overvoltage (E.OU2 on deceleration). Choosing a braking resistor.

When AC10 is NOT the right choice

• Power above 22 kW — you need Veichi AC310 (up to 400 kW)
• Servo, precise positioning — you need a Veichi SD700 servo drive
• Crane, lift, heavy load — Veichi AC70 with STO
• Profibus/CANopen fieldbus — AC310 with expansion cards

Our experience

Motor auto-tuning (parameter F02.07) is probably the handiest feature. It saves about 15 minutes on every commissioning: the drive measures the winding parameters itself, so you don't have to find the nameplate and type values in by hand.
