R912005989 — EFC 5610 rated 37 kW, three-phase 380V input (3x380 output, 73.7 A). Build EFC5610-37K0-3Р4-NN — a variant without the standard operator panel (NN code).

Typical applications:

• 37 kW pump or fan inside a pre-equipped cabinet
• Water-utility trunk pump
• Crusher, mill or conveyor at 37 kW

Note: this model ships without the onboard panel — parameterising is done with a removable panel or over Modbus. Handy when control is moved to an external HMI or SCADA. The brake unit at 37 kW is external (built in only up to 22 kW) — added separately with a resistor.

Bosch Rexroth EFC 5610 — the full-function member of the EFC x610 family

The EFC 5610 is the higher-feature version of the Rexroth EFC family compared with the economy EFC 3610. The difference is simple: the 3610 runs scalar (V/f) only, while the 5610 adds sensorless vector control (SVC) plus FOC. In practice the 5610 holds torque at low speed and starts confidently under load — without an encoder. We fit these drives on conveyors, mixers, centrifugal machines and pump/fan duties.

What the EFC 5610 is for

• Conveyors and roller tables: SVC delivers starting torque, so a loaded belt moves off without a jerk.
• Mixers, centrifuges, extruders: the braking unit decelerates high-inertia loads quickly — up to 22 kW it is built in (only an external resistor is added), above 22 kW an external module is fitted.
• Pumps and fans: energy-saving variable-torque operation; single-phase 220V models go where no three-phase supply exists.
• Packaging, processing and plastics machinery: compact body for gapless side-by-side mounting in the cabinet.

What sets the EFC 5610 apart

If you need vector starting under load and industrial fieldbus, the 5610 is the pick and the premium over the 3610 is justified. For simple pump/fan duties without vector, our budget Veichi AC10 is often enough.

Interfaces and control

Modbus RTU is built into every model. CANopen, PROFIBUS and Multi-Ethernet (PROFINET, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP, SERCOS III) are optional plug-in modules — the same drive fits an RTU SCADA today and an EtherCAT line later. The removable operator panel has a parameter copy function and USB, so a dozen identical drives are configured in minutes.

When the EFC 5610 is NOT the right pick

• You need logic inside the drive — there is no built-in PLC here; see Veichi AC310 with a built-in PLC and advanced PID for pumping stations.
• Closed-loop with an encoder at high power — SVC works best up to ~18.5 kW; for high-precision closed-loop you need a drive with a PG card.

Our experience with the EFC 5610

The series sells steadily for us — engineers value the German Bosch Rexroth build and the fact that vector starting and the filter are already inside. The most common question is about single-phase 220V models: they output three-phase 220V, so the motor must be rated for 220V (or re-strapped to delta). That is the key detail to check before ordering.
