Veichi CH310E-T3-015B — 15 kW elevator drive

The CH310E-T3-015B is a 15 kW elevator drive with a 32 A output current and a 3×380–480 V supply. The model targets multi-floor passenger and freight elevators where stable operation under higher load and frequent starts matters.

Which elevators it suits

The 15B fits mid- and upper-height residential complexes, office centres, hospitals, and medium-capacity freight elevators. The drive controls geared asynchronous (IM) and gearless synchronous (PMSM) motors, so it applies equally to new construction and modernization.

Stability and safety

The ASR PI speed regulator together with four independent S-curves holds the set car speed with no sag as the load changes, while the anti-rollback start guarantees a gentle take-off without a weighing sensor. The braking module is built into the drive, with the external resistor chosen by load and duty cycle. Phase-loss detection trips in under 200 ms, and mechanical brake control, post-fault start lockout and a 220 V UPS evacuation mode are all provided.

Dimensions

The enclosure (W×H×D) is 142×383×225 mm. This frame is shared across the 15, 18.5 and 22 kW models.

Veichi CH310E Frequency Inverter for Elevators

The Veichi CH310E is a dedicated elevator drive built on the AC310 platform, but reworked specifically for controlling passenger and freight elevator cars. The series spans 4 to 37 kW (3×380–480 V supply) and covers projects of every scale — from low-rise buildings to high-rise freight shafts.

What sets an elevator inverter apart from an ordinary one is ride comfort. A passenger should feel neither a jolt at start nor a drop when the car settles at a floor. CH310E handles this in hardware and software alike: four independent S-curves for acceleration and deceleration let you tune each phase of travel separately, while an optimized speed regulator (ASR PI) holds the set speed steady under changing load.

Anti-rollback start

The trickiest moment in elevator operation is moving off — the brake has just released and the car may drift under the weight of its load. CH310E provides an anti-rollback start for gearless synchronous PMSM drives even without a car load-weighing sensor. The drive holds torque at the zero point on its own, so the start stays smooth whether the car is empty or fully loaded.

Compatible with both elevator drive types

CH310E controls two schemes equally well:

• geared asynchronous motors (IM) — classic geared traction machines, common when refurbishing older shafts;
• gearless synchronous motors (PMSM) — modern direct-drive elevator traction machines with high efficiency.

A single drive model covers both new construction and the modernization of existing elevators.

Safety and continuity

A braking module is built into every model without exception — for the 4 kW unit a 130–170 Ohm resistor rated from 1100 W is used. The drive detects phase loss in under 200 ms, manages the mechanical brake (safety brake control) and locks out restart after a fault (fault trip lock). A separate evacuation mode is included: when mains power fails, the drive runs from a 220 V UPS source, automatically detects the lighter load side and brings the car to the nearest floor to let passengers out.
