AC01-S2-1R5G-B Variable Frequency Drive AC01 1.5 kW 1x220

AC01-S2-1R5G-B is the Veichi AC01 at 1.5 kW from single-phase 220 V. The S2 model turns a 3-phase 220 V motor (output 3x220 / 1x220) at 7 A. One of the popular ratings in the series — packaging lines, textiles, small fans. -B = built-in brake module.

Typical uses:

• A 1–1.5 kW packaging or filling machine
• A textile machine, winder or feeder
• A small fan, booster pump or car-wash unit

Note: single-phase 220 V input, 220 V motor — handy where there is no three-phase grid. For a fast stop you only add a resistor; the module is already inside. The built-in simple PLC (15 steps) runs the cycle without an external controller.

Veichi AC01 — compact VFD with a built-in PLC for machine-building up to 7.5 kW

We reach for the AC01 where you need vector control and a bit of logic right on the drive, but have neither the cabinet width nor the budget for a full-size series. In a compact book-narrow body it runs V/F and sensorless vector (SVC), drives both asynchronous and PM (synchronous) motors, and on top of that carries a built-in simple PLC with 15 steps (the F14 group). If your machine turns at 0.4–7.5 kW and needs a straightforward step program, this is the workhorse for that job.

What sells it in the field: a built-in brake module (on the -B models you only add a resistor to stop a conveyor or spindle quickly) and standard Modbus RTU over RS485, so the drive joins the machine's line with no add-on card. An EMC filter is already inside, with an optional reinforced C3-level version.

What the AC01 is for

• Machine-building equipment: packaging and filling lines, textile and woodworking machines, car-wash systems — exactly where the maker positions the AC01.
• Single-phase 220 V mains: the S2 models run off single-phase 220 V and drive a 3-phase 220 V motor — workshops, farm lines and sites with no three-phase grid.
• Small pumps, fans and conveyors: vector holds torque at low speed better than a plain V/F drive, and the built-in PLC runs a simple cycle without an external controller.

How the AC01 differs from rivals

Honestly, if the machine needs more than 7.5 kW, a closed loop with an encoder, more complex logic or Profibus, go with the AC310. But for a typical 1–4 kW OEM unit running a simple cycle, the AC01 comes out cheaper and fits a narrower cabinet without giving up control quality.

When the AC01 is NOT the right choice

• You need advanced logic or a closed-loop encoder — see the Veichi AC310.
• Power above 7.5 kW — that is AC310 territory too.
• You need Profibus or Profinet — the AC01 confirms Modbus RTU over RS485 only; look at the AC310.
• A 380 V motor — the single-phase S2 models feed 220 V motors only; you need a three-phase T3 unit.
• A dusty or wet site — the enclosure is IP20, so it needs a cabinet.

Our experience with the AC01

Most often the AC01 is bought for machine-building, where cabinet width and cost per kilowatt matter. Two conversations come up most: whether single-phase 220 V will drive a motor (yes — the S2 models turn a 3-phase 220 V motor) and whether a separate brake module is needed (on the -B it is already inside, you only add a resistor).
