FR-E740-300SC-EC is a Mitsubishi Electric FR-E variable frequency drive rated at 15 kW (3-phase 380 V input, 3-phase 380 V output). We use it for a conveyor, lift, or small industrial machine when the project needs Mitsubishi hardware, clear diagnostics, and 150% overload headroom.

• Current: 30 A, IP20, maximum frequency 120 Hz.
• What matters: FR-E has more I/O than FR-D: 7 digital inputs, 2 digital outputs, and Profibus via the FR-A7NP option.
• Check before use: The EMC filter is optional in this series, so long motor cables should be discussed together with a filter and choke.

FR-E is a compact series for machines, conveyors, and small pumps. Our catalog currently has 11 active items in this series, from 0.7 to 15 kW, supply variants 1x220, 3x380, and IP20 enclosures. We use Mitsubishi where price is not the only criterion: service life, readable diagnostics, and Mitsubishi Electric automation compatibility matter.

• Selection: first check motor power and current, then load type, motor cable length, and the control method.
• Retrofit note: in older cabinets, replacement without rebuilding terminals and parameters often matters more than the drive price.

When FR-E is not the right drive

We do not recommend FR-E for large pump stations and mechanisms that need 18.5 kW and above. In those cases INVT or Veichi is often enough, and pump projects should also start from VFDs for pumps.

Our field note

Customers rarely buy Mitsubishi by accident. It is usually a FREQROL replacement, a cabinet with MELSEC/GOT, or a production line where downtime costs more than the price difference. Before payment we ask for a motor nameplate photo and a cabinet diagram. Fewer surprises at startup.
