Veichi AC310 — universal vector VFD for pumps, ventilation, conveyors and machine tools

We call the AC310 the all-rounder of the Veichi range, and that is from field practice, not a slogan. The series runs full vector control (scalar, sensorless vector and closed-loop with encoder), drives both asynchronous and synchronous motors, and is the one we reach for when plain V/f is not enough. If you need to hold torque, pressure or tension rather than just spin a shaft, this is the line.

Its headline feature is a built-in simple PLC (up to 16 steps) plus a PID controller. On a pump station that means the drive holds pressure on its own, with no separate controller. Modbus RTU is standard for an out-of-the-box SCADA tie-in, while Profibus, CANopen and Profinet are optional on the three-phase models.

What the AC310 is for

• Pumps and fans: built-in PID holds pressure/flow, with dedicated pump-and-fan load parameters.
• Single-phase 220 V mains: the T/S2 models run off single-phase 220 V and drive a 3-phase 220 V motor — farms, wells and workshops with no three-phase grid.

Honestly, for a simple set-and-forget fan there is no point paying for vector. But the moment you need logic, torque or a SCADA link, the AC310 works out cheaper than a basic drive plus an external controller.

When the AC310 is NOT the right choice

• A simple low-power pump or fan on a budget — the compact Veichi AC10 is cheaper.
• A 380 V motor — the single-phase T/S2 models feed 220 V motors only; you need a three-phase T3 unit.
• Dusty or wet sites — the enclosure is IP20, so it needs a cabinet.

Our experience with the AC310

This is one of our core Veichi series, with steady demand on water utilities and industrial ventilation.
