Our catalog currently has 16 active items in this series: 0.7-75 kW, supply variants 3-phase 380 V, IP21 enclosures, EMC filter: yes. Schneider Electric is not the cheapest route. The usual reason is simpler: Altivar diagnostics, SoMove, documentation, and a predictable cabinet startup.

When Altivar 630 is not the right drive

We do not recommend Altivar 630 for open dusty or wet mounting without a cabinet, where ATV650 is the better format. In those jobs, another Schneider Electric series may be more logical, or INVT / Veichi may be enough when the project does not specifically require Altivar.

Our field note

Schneider Electric is usually chosen for sites with BMS, SCADA, or an older Altivar already in the cabinet. Predictability matters there. Before ordering we ask for a motor nameplate photo and a short mechanism description. That filters out 220/380 V, IP, and braking mistakes early.
