Lenze ESV113N04TXB is a SMVector inverter rated 11 kW, three-phase 400 V input (code "N04T"), three-phase 380 V output; output current is about 31 A. A larger frame for pumping stations, fans and conveyor lines; the matching NEMA 1 / IP31 enclosure is used at this rating. "XB" = no integral EMC filter.

V/Hz and sensorless vector control, maximum frequency 500 Hz, PID controller, DC braking, removable EPM. The series has no encoder feedback. At these ratings dynamic braking is external (DBV01 + resistor), as is the EN 61800-3 EMC filter. A universal vector equivalent for a new machine is the Veichi AC310.

Lenze ESV (SMVector) — vector drive for machine building, 0.7–22 kW

The Lenze ESV series are frequency inverters from the SMVector family (AC Tech), the same workhorse used on conveyors, pumps, fans, extruders and packaging lines. The word "vector" here does not mean encoder control — it refers to SMVector's enhanced sensorless vector mode: after auto-calibration to the motor nameplate the drive holds high starting torque with no shaft sensor. The enclosure is a slim book-style case for side-by-side mounting, and the standout feature is the removable EPM memory module: all parameters are stored on it, you can pull it from a working drive and plug it into a new one, and the configuration transfers in a minute — no keypad or laptop needed. On the service bench that is the most common reason engineers like SMVector.

Supply: read it straight off the part number

On ESV the build is encoded in the type code and is hard to get wrong. The digit after N0 is the voltage class: "2" = 240 V, "4" = 400/480 V. The following letter is input phase: T = three-phase input only, Y = single- OR three-phase 240 V input. In this line three frame sizes carry the code N02Y (0.7 / 1.5 / 2.2 kW) — single-phase 220–240 V supply with a three-phase 220 V motor output; the other eleven are N04T, three-phase 400 V input with a three-phase 380 V output. A single-phase ESV will not run on 380 V, and vice versa — match the voltage to your mains.

Control and capabilities

ESV runs in V/Hz (constant and variable torque) and enhanced sensorless vector modes (Vector Speed / Vector Torque). The series has no encoder (closed-loop) feedback — for accurate positioning and stiff speed holding you would use a servo drive. Maximum output frequency is 500 Hz. A built-in PID controller covers pump and fan duties, plus DC braking and a flying-start function for catching a spinning motor.

EMC filter, braking, interface

One detail matters here: all our part numbers end in ...XB, where "X" means no integral EMC filter and "B" is the NEMA 1 / IP31 enclosure for cabinet mounting. If your emission level needs an EN 61800-3 filter, that is a separate external mains filter — specify it for the task. Dynamic braking (a brake chopper with an external resistor) is provided through the separate SMVector DBV01 option — for frequent braking of high inertia, confirm the configuration. Fieldbus (Modbus RTU/RS485, CANopen, PROFIBUS, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP) is added via a plug-in communication module, not built in.

Lenze is phasing out the SMVector, so we keep the ESV as a repair and compatibility item.
