E82EV903K4B201 is a 90.0 kW Lenze 8200 Vector with three-phase 3×380 V supply and 3×380 V output, rated current 180 A. The most powerful model of the series — the top of the 8200 Vector range.

Typical uses:

• Mains pumps, large pump stations
• High-power industrial fans and flue fans
• Large mills, crushers, extrusion lines

Note: 90 kW / 180 A is a full power-cabinet project with a choke, mains coordination and cooling. If you need more, that is a different platform; for a new large drive, modern series are worth considering.

Lenze 8200 Vector — modular frequency inverter for standard drives

The 8200 Vector (E82EV series) is a German inverter Lenze built on a modular concept: there is a base unit, and the interface you need — I/O or a fieldbus — clips on as a separate plug-on module. Power range runs from 0.25 to 90 kW. It drives standard asynchronous motors, reluctance motors and PM synchronous motors. On control it is genuinely a hybrid: both V/f characteristic control (linear and square) and sensorless vector control are built in, so a simple pump and a loaded conveyor can run on the same drive type.

What the 8200 Vector is for

• HVAC pumps and fans: 1.5–7.5 kW, square V/f, where smooth start and part-load savings matter most.
• Conveyors and material handling: 1.5–15 kW, sensorless vector holds torque at low speed; Lenze's own manual builds its worked example around a conveyor.
• Mixers, extruders, machine tools: 3–30 kW, where a firm break-away torque is required.
• Larger process drives: 45–90 kW in book-format housings (B201 variants).

How the 8200 Vector differs from current inverters

Our take is simple: if you already run a fleet of 8200 Vector units, stay on the platform — one base unit plus a shelf of plug-on modules covers many machines, and the bus module is field-swappable. For a new project that needs Modbus RTU and PID from the start, something more modern is probably the smarter buy.

When the 8200 Vector is NOT the right pick

• You need Modbus RTU or Ethernet straight out of the box without buying a module — see Veichi inverters (AC10, AC310, AC01) with on-board RS485.
• Dusty or wet site without an enclosure — the housing is IP20 only and belongs in a cabinet.
• This is a discontinued (legacy) line: before designing it into a new build, check availability of both the base unit and the plug-on modules.

Our experience with the 8200 Vector

These drives still turn up on German packaging and conveyor lines that have moved to Ukraine, so the usual job is to match the exact E82EV type to power and supply and add the right function module. Most models with the letter C in the code carry an integrated EMC filter, but that should be verified against the full type code of the specific unit rather than assumed by default.
