131F6651 — VLT FC202 AQUA rated 45 kW, three-phase 380 V. A water-focused drive — it handles pump protection and control without separate boxes.

Typical applications:

• A mains pump for a water utility or large lift station
• A high-power cascade station with SCADA
• A storm-water or industrial sewage pump

Note: three-phase 380 V model. Water-specific functions (dry-run protection, smooth pipe fill, impeller de-ragging for sewage pumps) are already in the drive. PROFIBUS and BACnet come as MCA 101/MCA 121 option cards.

Danfoss VLT AQUA Drive FC202 — a drive built for water and pumps

The FC202 AQUA is a drive tailored to water supply, sewage and pumping stations. If you run a water utility, a sewage lift station, a second-lift station or a booster set, this is the focused Danfoss choice. Our range is 0.7–55 kW, all three-phase 380 V. For ventilation in large buildings the FC102 fits better, but for water the FC202 has features that general-purpose drives simply do not.

What the FC202 is good for

• Water supply stations (3–37 kW): pressure holding, pump cascade, smooth lead-pump changeover.
• Lift stations and drainage (5.5–55 kW): impeller de-ragging, dry-run protection.
• Booster sets and irrigation (0.7–11 kW): sleep mode — with no demand the pump stops and stops heating the water.

What AQUA gives you in practice

The most useful part is the features that protect the pump. Pipe Fill gently charges an empty pipe with no water hammer. De-ragging periodically reverses the impeller to clear rags from a sewage pump — we have seen this avoid a service call more than once. Power-based dry-run protection keeps the pump from running without water. Sleep mode stops the pump at zero demand and wakes it on a pressure drop. Communication is Modbus RTU, with optional PROFIBUS (MCA 101) and BACnet (MCA 121) for utility SCADA.

For water the FC202 wins on its dedicated features. If the pump is simple and standalone, an iC2 or FC301 costs less and will do.

When the FC202 is NOT the right choice

• Building ventilation and climate over BACnet — the FC102 HVAC series suits that better.
• Conveyors, machine tools, machinery — choose an FC301.
• A budget standalone pump up to 22 kW — take a look at the iC2.
