VH602-0808TN — the VH600-series CPU in the up-to-16-axes edition: 8 digital inputs, 8 NPN transistor outputs, programming in CODESYS with IEC61131-3 and PLCopen libraries. The series' sweet spot — more axes than VH601, without the overhead and price of the top edition.

Typical applications:

• Mid-complexity machine with 8–16 synchronised axes.
• Packaging or processing node with several coordinated servo drives.
• A line where 8 axes is already too few and 32 too many.

Note: NPN outputs switch to negative; for positive logic take VH602-0808TP. If 16 axes is short, move to VH603-0808TN (up to 32); if 8 is enough, VH601-0808TN is cheaper. The environment and code stay the same.

Veichi VH600 — Veichi's first medium PLC on CODESYS for coordinated motion

VH600 is the top of Veichi's controller ladder and their first series on CODESYS with full IEC61131-3 (LD, FBD, ST, SFC, CFC) and PLCopen motion libraries. We reach for it when you need to run a whole machine with dozens of synchronised axes rather than a single drive: CNC machine tools, large packaging lines, textile, compressors, cranes, integrated factory automation. The EtherCAT master handles up to 128 slaves, the controller serves up to 128 axes, and it syncs 8 axes as fast as 1 ms.

The main reason to choose VH600 is that it is a programmable logic controller of European-platform calibre at a sensible price. If an engineer has worked in CODESYS on Beckhoff or Schneider, they will feel at home: same languages, same motion libraries, same approach to e-cam and e-gear. Two Ethernet ports with a built-in switch simplify a line topology between machines without an external switch.

What VH600 is for

• Multi-axis machine tools and CNC: coordinated motion, linear and circular interpolation, electronic cam and gear over the EtherCAT bus.
• Large packaging and textile lines: dozens of servo drives in sync, where 1 ms across 8 axes gives smooth feed without jerks.
• Compressors and crane equipment: complex logic plus motion, where you need headroom in axes and expansion modules.
• Integrated factory automation: VH600 as the main controller of a cell with distributed I/O via VH-RTU and CANopen peripherals.

How VH600 differs from neighbouring series

In practice VH500 covers most mid-range automation up to 48 axes. The moment a project goes beyond that, or needs the CODESYS ecosystem and PLCopen libraries, it makes sense to go straight to VH600.

When VH600 is not the right fit

• The machine is simpler, under 48 axes and AutoStudio is enough — look at VH500, it is cheaper.
• You only need pulse positioning without a bus — that is VH300 or VC3M territory.
• Plain single-node logic without motion — it is overkill; take VC1 or VH100.
• You work inside another brand's ecosystem — compare with Delta or Fatek.

Our experience with VH600

VH600 goes into serious projects where the controller carries the whole machine, so the typical buyer question is how many axes will actually run in sync and whether there are enough expansion modules. We advise leaving headroom: up to 16 VH-R right-side modules per host, and distributed I/O is best handled over the bus via VH-RTU. On the same line buyers often add Veichi VFDs and operator panels from the same maker.
