VC1S-1614MAR is a VC1S CPU module with 16 discrete inputs and 14 relay outputs, 220V AC supply, RS232 and RS485 ports. A mid-size configuration weighted toward inputs, relay type — when you need to read many sensors and limit switches and switch mixed AC/DC loads.

Typical applications:

• A machine with many limit switches and buttons and a moderate number of actuators.
• A conveyor line with several zones and a contactor for each.
• A process unit with alarms and indicator lamps.

Note: relay outputs have no fast PWM — for a pulse to a stepper/servo take the transistor version VC1S-1614MAT. The smaller configuration is VC1S-1212MAR, the larger one is VC1S-2820MAR.

Veichi VC1S — compact all-in-one entry-level PLC for basic machine logic

VC1S is the VC1 in a single-block form factor: the same CPU class, the same 16,000 program steps, but one housing with no expansion modules. We use it where you need to control a single unit on discrete logic cheaply and reliably: a packaging machine, a doser, a conveyor, a pump station, or a replacement for an old relay-contactor panel. The range runs from 8 inputs / 8 outputs up to 36 inputs / 24 outputs, 220V AC supply, two serial ports RS232 and RS485 plus USB (Type-C) for communication and quick commissioning.

The main reason to choose VC1S is price for simple automation in one housing. It is not a motion controller, but the transistor versions give three 100kHz pulse channels, so for simple positioning tasks — cut-to-length, feeding, basic stepper or servo synchronisation — they cope just fine.

What tasks VC1S suits

• Packaging and filling: buttons, limit switches, pneumatic valves — a machine with 8-36 input points.
• Pumps and fans: control by level, pressure or timer in simple logic.
• Small machine tools and woodworking: relay and limit-switch logic plus one or two pulse channels on the transistor version.
• Replacing an obsolete PLC: a cheap way to revive an old machine without moving to a pricier platform.

How VC1S differs from neighbouring series

In practice VC1S is the cheapest entry into the VC line when the built-in points of one housing are enough. If you need to grow I/O with modules, reach 128 points, or add Ethernet via a module, it is worth looking at the full VC1. As soon as you need built-in Ethernet or bus motion, that is already the VC3 level.

When VC1S is NOT a fit

• You need to expand I/O with modules — take the full VC1 (up to 128 I/O).
• You need built-in Ethernet or bus motion — take the higher series VC3 or VC5.
• Multi-axis interpolation, electronic cam — that is the VH600 level.
• You work in another brand's ecosystem — compare with Delta or Fatek.

Our experience with VC1S

VC1S is steadily chosen by small OEMs who count machine cost down to the last cent. The typical buyer question is relay or transistor version: for mixed loads and contactor coils I recommend relay, for pulse to stepper/servo — transistor. Alongside, on the same machine, customers often take Veichi VFDs.
