DX100-4T2800Q is a Simphoenix DX100 model rated 280 kW, 3-phase 380 V supply, rated current 535 A. The 1000 Hz output makes it handy for high-speed spindles, yet it also drives ordinary general-industrial loads of this frame size. Control is V/F or sensorless vector (SVC), with Modbus RTU communication.

Simphoenix DX100 — universal VFD with output up to 1000 Hz for spindles and general industrial drives

The DX100 is a budget vector series from Shenzhen Simphoenix (a Chinese maker founded in 2004, related to the Sunfar brand). In our catalogue it is a 3-phase 380 V line from 1.5 to 315 kW. Its headline feature is a maximum output frequency of 1000 Hz — something a standard 400–600 Hz drive can't deliver. That's why the manufacturer positions the DX100 mainly for machine-tool spindles, engravers, glass edging and textile machinery, where high speeds matter.

What the DX100 is good for

• CNC spindle, engraver, router: the 1000 Hz output lets you spin a high-speed spindle — this is the series' core niche.
• General industrial drives: conveyors, mixers, crushers, compressors across 1.5–315 kW.
• Pumps and fans: works fine thanks to a built-in PID regulator, though here it's more of a workhorse than a specialist solution.

What the manufacturer claims about the DX100

According to the Simphoenix catalogue, the series holds 150% overload for 60 s and 180% for 2.5 s, with roughly 180% starting torque at zero speed in vector (SVC) mode. Two control modes are supported: V/F and sensorless vector SVC. Communication is Modbus RTU over RS485. Protections are the standard set: overcurrent, over- and undervoltage, overheating, output phase loss, motor overload. These figures are manufacturer-stated; we quote them honestly, without overselling.

DX100 vs our Veichi drives

If high spindle frequency is what you need, the DX100 makes sense. If the job is mainstream (pump, fan, conveyor) and you want clear local support and documentation, we more often recommend Veichi AC310 or AC10 — a known, predictable quantity for us.

When the DX100 is NOT the right choice

• You need single-phase 220 V supply — there is no 1-phase model in this line, only 3×380. See Veichi AC10 with a 1×220 option.
• You need PLC logic on the drive itself — it isn't stated for these models; take the Veichi AC310 with a built-in PLC.
• You need a confirmed fieldbus (CANopen, Profibus, EtherCAT) — these models ship with Modbus RTU only.
