DRL-48V120W1EN is a Delta DRL switch-mode power supply from the updated Lyte II generation, rated 120 W with a 48 V DC output and load current up to 2.5 A. The single-phase universal 85–264 V AC input runs the unit from a standard 220 V mains as well as under voltage fluctuations, with no range switching. DIN-rail (TS-35) mounting and an IP20 enclosure for installation inside a closed control cabinet. In terms of power it is a balanced mid-power unit for a typical automation cabinet.

Delta DRL Lyte — cost-effective DIN-rail power supplies for everyday automation cabinets

DRL is Delta Electronics' value line of switch-mode power supplies for DIN-rail mounting (TS-35). The series is a practical, no-frills workhorse for control cabinets that need a stable DC source without paying for features they will not use. Two generations are offered within the family — the original Lyte and the updated Lyte II (part numbers ending in 1EN). All models share an IP20 enclosure for in-cabinet installation and a universal single-phase 85–264 VAC input, so a single voltage rating works on 220 V mains as well as on networks with reduced or elevated voltage.

Power ratings span from 75 W to 480 W across three standard output voltages: 12 V, 24 V and 48 V. This covers virtually the entire low-current side of a typical cabinet: 24 V is the standard rail for PLCs, relays, sensors and valve terminals; 12 V suits some panels, CCTV and LED strips; 48 V serves telecom nodes, individual drives and long supply runs where the higher voltage offsets cable voltage drop.

Model range and load currents

• 12 V: 75 W (6.25 A), 120 W (10 A) and 240 W (20 A) — for logic, lighting and signal circuits.
• 24 V: 75 W (3.12 A), 120 W (5 A), 240 W (10 A) and 480 W (20 A) — the main workhorse of the series for PLCs and field automation.
• 48 V: 75 W (1.56 A), 120 W (2.5 A), 240 W (5 A) and 480 W (10 A) — for telecom and remote-node supply.

The larger 240 W and 480 W models power a whole group of devices at once: a controller, dozens of sensors, a local operator panel and interposing relays. The smaller 75 W versions fit compact enclosures and standalone nodes where footprint and price matter most.

Construction and connection

All DRL units are single-phase with a universal 85–264 VAC input: one voltage rating covers different sites with no range-selector switch. Mounting on a standard TS-35 DIN rail keeps installation fast, and the vertical layout saves cabinet space. The IP20 rating means the unit is intended for installation inside a closed electrical cabinet, not for open or wet environments.

How DRL differs from other Delta series

DRL Lyte is the entry-level, most affordable tier in Delta's power-supply portfolio. Unlike the DRP (CliQ) and DRM (CliQ-M) series, DRL has no active power factor correction (PFC) — a deliberate trade-off for a lower price in applications where PFC is not a mandatory requirement. If a project calls for built-in PFC or a three-phase input, the DRP/DRM families are the better choice. For high-volume automation panels, however, where the priority is reliable 24 V on a DIN rail at a sensible price, DRL handles the job directly and without excess.
