Bosch Rexroth EFC 3610 18.5 kW (part R912005712, EFC3610-18K5-3P4) is a three-phase frequency converter. Supply 3×380 V (380…480 V), 3-phase output up to mains voltage. Rated current 39.2 A (HD), frequency 0…400 Hz, 150% overload for 60 s and 200% for 1 s.

Control is V/f only, with no vector; PID, S-curve ramps and DC braking. Note: even at 18.5 kW the brake chopper remains built in — the datasheet states "internal up to 22 kW." The resistor is external and the EMC filter is integrated. Modbus RTU is standard. IP20.

For high-power pumping and ventilation gear. A counterpart is the Veichi AC310.

Bosch Rexroth EFC 3610 frequency converters

The EFC 3610 is the economy line of the Bosch Rexroth EFC x610 family, built for straightforward speed-control tasks where a vector loop is not required. Per the manufacturer datasheet, the control method here is V/f only: linear, quadratic and freely definable V/f curves. If you need sensorless vector control with higher starting torque, that is the higher EFC 5610 line; the EFC 3610 is deliberately simpler and lower-cost.

Power range: 0.4 kW to 22 kW. Single-phase models run on 1×220 V (200…240 V) and output 3-phase 220 V — the classic "single-phase mains to three-phase motor" case. Three-phase models run on 3×380 V (380…480 V). Output frequency is 0…400 Hz, with 150% overload for 60 s and 200% for 1 s (HD mode).

What is built in

• Brake chopper — built in across the full range up to 22 kW inclusive. The datasheet confirms it: "Brake chopper — internal up to 22 kW." The braking resistor is external and is selected separately for the inertia and braking duty.
• Built-in mains (EMC) filter. Bosch Rexroth markets the EFC x610 as having an "integrated brake chopper and mains filter."
• Integrated operator panel for fast commissioning, PID controller, S-curve ramps, DC braking.

I/O and communication

Standard: 5 digital inputs (one is a pulse input up to 50 kHz), 1 digital output, 1 relay output, 2 analog inputs (0…10 V / 0…20 mA) and 1 analog output. Modbus RTU is standard. PROFIBUS, CANopen and Multi-Ethernet (Modbus TCP / EtherCAT) are added via external option modules. There is no built-in PLC — only an "integrated step switching mechanism" (fixed speeds), not full PLC logic.

Where the EFC 3610 fits

Pumps, fans, conveyors and simple machines — anywhere V/f control is enough. IP20 protection, cabinet mount. The line is discontinued by Bosch Rexroth, so availability should be confirmed per part number.
