Schneider Electric — one of the world's leading industrial automation manufacturers — has introduced a specialized solar pump solution for the Ukrainian market: Altivar 320 Solar (ATV320 Solar). This is a dual-supply variable frequency drive (solar panels + AC grid), designed for autonomous water supply, irrigation, and industrial pump applications.
The series includes 24 models ranging from 0.37 to 15 kW with 1x220V, 3x220V, and 3x380V supply options. Unlike standard Altivar frequency inverters, the Solar version features a built-in controller for direct solar panel connection and an intelligent Auto MPPT algorithm.

The key advantage of Altivar 320 Solar is full dual-source operation with automatic switchover. The pump runs on solar power during sufficient irradiance and seamlessly switches to AC grid when panel output drops — without stopping the pump.

ATV320 Solar is one of the few solar pump inverters with built-in functional safety per IEC 61800-5-2:
