AuCom CSX soft starter: a 7.5-110 kW basic unit, nothing extra

The CSX is the simplest device in the AuCom range. Three switches on the front: ramp time, stop time, initial voltage. Set them, close the cover, forget about it. Nobody usually opens it again for the life of the installation, provided the load has not changed and the machine was not rebuilt. We stock 11 positions, 18 to 200 A, 7.5-110 kW at 400 V. Supply is 200-440 V, so Ukrainian 380 V is covered without caveats.

We pick the CSX when the start is ordinary and motor protection already sits separately in the panel. Pump. Fan. Unloaded conveyor, grinding machine. If protection has to live inside the unit, look at the CSXi, which brings electronic protection and a bypass. The price gap at the same 110 A is UAH 47,900 against UAH 65,780. For hard starts or SCADA communication the CSX is out entirely, that calls for the EMX4i.

What we ask before quoting

Rated current from the motor nameplate, not the machine documentation. We see a 5-15% discrepancy regularly, and it is exactly why a unit sometimes gets swapped after installation. Then load type and starts per hour: the base CSX has no bypass, so the thyristors need time to cool. A bypass comes with the C2 version, and that should be settled at quotation stage, because the configuration cannot be changed after delivery.

Prices and documentation

The CSX-007-V4-C1(C2) at 18 A costs UAH 14,180, and the top CSX-110-V4-C1(C2) at 200 A is UAH 47,900. We send the series manual and brochure with the invoice, before payment, in English. The full AuCom line sits in the AuCom soft starters section, and everything else in the soft starter catalogue.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between CSX and CSXi?

The CSXi has electronic motor protection and a bypass inside, the base CSX has neither. Current and power are identical: 18-200 A, 7.5-110 kW at 400 V. At 110 A the price is UAH 47,900 for the CSX against UAH 65,780 for the CSXi. If protection already sits separately in the panel, paying for it twice makes no sense.

What motor power does the CSX handle?

From 7.5 to 110 kW at 400 V, across 11 catalogue positions. The current band is 18-200 A. We size by nameplate current rather than kilowatts, since real figures often differ from machine documentation by 5-15%.

What supply voltage does the CSX accept?

200-440 V. Standard Ukrainian 380 V is covered with margin. If your network runs above 440 V the CSX will not do, and you need an EMX4e or EMX4i with their 525 V range.

Does the CSX have a bypass?

Not in the base version, where the thyristors conduct continuously and heat the panel. A bypass comes with the C2 version. This has to be settled at quotation stage, because the configuration cannot be changed after delivery.

How much does an AuCom CSX cost?

From UAH 14,180 for the CSX-007-V4-C1(C2) at 18 A to UAH 47,900 for the CSX-110-V4-C1(C2) at 200 A. It is the cheapest AuCom line we carry. Please confirm availability of a specific frame size with a manager.

Where do I get the CSX manual?

We send the series manual and brochure with the invoice, before payment. English is available. If you need ready parameters for your machine, tell us the load type plus the motor current.
