AuCom EMX4i soft starter: top of the range, up to 1000 A and 630 kW

The EMX4i is AuCom's flagship series. Current from 24 to 1000 A. Power up to 630 kW at 400 V, 27 catalogue positions. The widest AuCom line we hold. Standard supply is 200-525 V. There are also high-voltage versions reaching 1200 V, which we bring in to order and which are worth asking about early.

We pick the EMX4i when the job does not fit the lower series. Simple, no alternatives. Adaptive start control lets you shape the acceleration profile for a specific machine rather than just setting a time. Extended diagnostics and communication let the unit report into a control room. Typical sites are crushers, mills, piston compressors and large pumping stations, where breakaway torque runs several times above rated and an ordinary starter simply trips. If you need less current and no communication, look at the EMX4e or the base CSX.

What we ask before quoting

Nameplate motor current plus load type. For hard breakaway we go one frame above the calculated size, because a crusher starts nothing like a centrifugal pump of the same rating. Then starts per hour and cabinet temperature: above 40 °C derating applies. The bypass is built into the whole series, so no external one is needed.

Prices and documentation

The EMX4i-0024B-V5-C1-H at 24 A costs UAH 33,550. The top position in the range is UAH 529,300. The series manual is available in English and goes out with the invoice, before payment. The full brand line sits under AuCom, with everything else in the soft starter catalogue.

Frequently Asked Questions

What power does the EMX4i reach?

Up to 630 kW at 400 V, with current from 24 to 1000 A. We hold 27 positions. That is the widest AuCom line in stock, and it goes to sites where the start is hard. We size by nameplate current. Plus margin for the load type.

What does adaptive start control give you?

It lets you shape the acceleration profile for a specific machine rather than just setting a time. A crusher and a centrifugal pump need different curves, and this is exactly where the EMX4i beats the lower series. Extended diagnostics comes with it: you see why the unit tripped, not just that it did.

Can the EMX4i be integrated into SCADA?

Yes, the series carries communication for control-room integration. That is one of the main reasons to choose the EMX4i over the EMX4e. If you need no communication and 580 A is enough, the EMX4e comes out cheaper.

What supply voltage does the EMX4i accept?

Standard 200-525 V, with high-voltage versions up to 1200 V. Ukrainian 380 V is covered with plenty of margin. High-voltage versions are brought in to order, so ask early.

How much does an AuCom EMX4i cost?

From UAH 33,550 for the EMX4i-0024B-V5-C1-H at 24 A. The top position costs UAH 529,300. Prices are live. Ask a manager about frame size availability.

Which AuCom suits a crusher or compressor?

The EMX4i, one frame above the calculated size. A heavy start means 4-6 times rated current for 10-20 seconds, which calls for adaptive torque control. The lower CSX and CSXi will not carry that.
