ENEXT e.f-drive.pro 2.2 kW (p0800104) — a vector frequency inverter with 3×380 V supply and output, rated output current 5.1 A. SVC vector control delivers torque at low speed, so this frame suits pumps and HVAC as well as machines with a harder start. Maximum frequency in vector mode is 300 Hz, and the IP20 enclosure is for cabinet mounting.
Typical applications:
- Small circulation and booster pumps
- Domestic and office supply/exhaust ventilation
- Packaging machines, short conveyor belts
Note: the model is three-phase (3×380 V only), with built-in Modbus RTU over RS485 for SCADA or a PLC and a PID for pressure/flow holding; the braking unit is built in (up to and including 30 kW) — for dynamic braking you only size an external resistor. The EMC filter for this series is an external recommended accessory, sized per frame separately.
ENEXT e.f-drive.pro — 3×380 V vector VFD for pumps, HVAC and conveyors
e.f-drive.pro is the upper, vector-control line of frequency inverters from the Ukrainian brand E.NEXT. Every model in the series is three-phase, with 3×380 V input and output, covering 0.7 to 220 kW. In short: a solid mid-range drive for everyday jobs — pumps, fans, conveyors, packaging and textile machines. It is convenient for installers who already source their switchgear from E.NEXT and want one supplier with a dealer network across Ukraine.
How PRO differs from the basic e.f-drive
The basic e.f-drive (stand) line is aimed at simpler V/F tasks. PRO adds full sensorless vector control (SVC) plus V/F, a wider I/O set and proper industrial communication. In practice the difference shows where you need torque at low speed (conveyor, mixer) or accurate pressure/flow holding.
What the series can do
- Control: sensorless vector SVC + V/F. Maximum frequency in vector mode is 300 Hz (the manufacturer states up to 3200 Hz in V/F).
- Overload: the manufacturer states 150% for 60 s and 180% for 3 s — enough for heavy conveyor starts.
- Communication: built-in RS485 with Modbus RTU — direct link to SCADA or a PLC. The manual also mentions CANopen, but for specific frame sizes that is worth confirming.
- Logic without an external PLC: built-in PID for pressure/flow and simple programmable logic with preset speeds (up to 16 steps).
- I/O: 7 digital inputs, 3 analog inputs, a relay output, 2 analog outputs and a high-speed pulse output.
- Braking: up to and including 30 kW the braking unit is built in; from 37 kW an external unit is required, and the resistor is always sized separately.
- Protection: over-current, over-voltage, under-voltage, drive and motor overload, input/output phase loss, module overheat, communication and current-sensor faults.
- Enclosure and EMC: IP20 (for cabinet mounting). The EMC filter is an external recommended accessory: the manual (sect. 8.2.7) gives a filter-sizing table per frame size, so plan a separate filter for EMC compliance.
Typical applications
- Pumps and HVAC: the built-in PID holds pressure or flow without a separate controller.
- Conveyors and transporters: vector mode gives torque at low speed, 150% overload survives the start.
- Packaging, textile and production machines: up to 16 preset speeds and discrete control.
How it compares with our core series
| Parameter | ENEXT FDRIVE PRO | Veichi AC310 | Veichi AC10 |
|---|
| Supply | 3×380 V only | 3×380 V | 1×220 / 3×380 V |
| Control | SVC + V/F | SVC + V/F | V/F + SVC |
| Modbus RTU | yes | yes | yes |
| Range | 0.7–220 kW | wider, water-utility focus | compact jobs |
Honestly, in capability PRO is close to Veichi AC310 in the same range. We fit AC310 more often on water utilities thanks to its pump-duty reputation; AC10 is chosen for simpler installs, including single-phase. ENEXT PRO is a sensible choice when a single E.NEXT switchgear ecosystem matters.
When FDRIVE PRO is NOT the right fit
- No single-phase 220 V input — for private wells or workshops without 380 V see drives with 1-phase supply.
- Closed-loop vector with an encoder (PG) for high-precision positioning — not the series profile (this is open-loop SVC).
- If you need a confirmed industrial fieldbus (Profibus/EtherCAT) — confirm first or pick a series with guaranteed support.
Our experience
FDRIVE PRO sees steady demand among electrical contractors who already work with E.NEXT products. The 1.5–22 kW range is the most requested, mostly for pumps and HVAC. Before ordering we always confirm the duty (pump/fan vs heavy conveyor) and whether a braking resistor is needed — the most common buyer questions. If you are torn between PRO and our Veichi series, we will advise for your specific task.
