VH301-0808TP is a VH300 CPU module with 8 DC24V digital inputs and 8 PNP (source) transistor outputs, an RS232/485 port, USB, DC24V supply. The fieldbus-less version for source logic — where loads and drives are switched on a common positive.

Typical applications:

• XY coordinate platform with European (source) wiring.
• Local cutting with pulse control of drives.
• Material feed with positioning and no network uplink.

Worth noting: PNP means source outputs (common positive); handy when the rest of the cabinet is source-wired too. For a sink scheme with a common negative, take VH301-0808TN. If you need CANopen and Ethernet, the networked version VH311-0808TP is available.

Veichi VH300 — slim modular PLC with motion for cutting and XY platforms

VH300 is a high-performance but narrow series: dual 600 MHz processors, 200 KB program memory, 8 PTO/PTI channels and 2-axis linear and circular interpolation out of the box. We reach for it where plain logic is no longer enough but a full EtherCAT bus is still overkill — flying and chasing shears, XY coordinate tables, dosing and winding units. DC24V supply, up to 16 right-side expansion modules and 1 left board.

The main reason to pick VH300 is pulse-based motion without paying for a bus. Eight PTO/PTI channels let you synchronise two stepper or servo drives by position, while CANopen and Modbus-TCP (via RS485 and the networked version) connect an HMI or a drive. Firmware loads from an SD card, and a Type-C port is there for commissioning.

What tasks VH300 fits

• Flying and chasing shears: syncing the blade to material travel — two pulse channels, interpolation, accurate length cut-off.
• XY platforms and gantries: coordinated two-axis motion along lines and arcs — glue, laser and dosing heads.
• Winding and feeding: steady tension and stepped material feed with position control.
• Networked nodes: the VH311 version with CANopen and Ethernet fits into a line of several PLCs and panels.

How VH300 differs from neighbouring series

In practice VH300 covers the niche between VH100 and VH500: where real 2-axis interpolation is needed but dozens of bus axes are not. Once you go beyond two axes or need tight EtherCAT synchronisation, it makes sense to look straight at VH500.

When VH300 is NOT the right choice

• You need coordinated motion of more than 2 axes or bus synchronisation — take VH500 or VH600 with EtherCAT.
• The task is purely logical, with no motion — there is no point paying for PTO; look at VH100 or VC1.
• You work inside another brand's ecosystem — compare with Delta or Fatek.
• You need more I/O or special signals — add VH-R modules on the right and VH-L on the left (see the Veichi catalog).

Our experience with VH300

VH300 is steadily chosen for cutting and XY units where precise two-axis position matters. The typical buyer question is "will two interpolation axes be enough": for flying shears and most coordinate tables yes, for multi-axis motion we recommend VH500 straight away. The same machine often gets Veichi VFDs and Veichi panels added alongside.
