The ready Mitsubishi MR-J5 servo kit is a matched pair of the MR-J5-700A amplifier and HK-ST702W servomotor, rated at 7 kW with a rated torque of 33.4 N·m at 2000 rpm. Control is via pulse/analog; the drive and motor are factory-compatible and tuned to work together.

Mitsubishi MELSERVO MR-J5 is the current flagship servo drive series. Its defining feature is a 26-bit absolute batteryless encoder (over 67 million pulses per revolution) that retains absolute position without a serviceable battery, eliminating scheduled replacements and unplanned downtime. The control loop runs roughly 50% faster than the previous generation, with enhanced vibration suppression for clean, stable motion at high speed. Interfaces available: -A (general-purpose pulse/analog) and -B (SSCNET III/H).

MR-J5 pairs with new-generation motors HK-KT (low-inertia, 3000 rpm — for fast, dynamic applications) and HK-ST (medium-inertia, 2000 rpm — for higher torque and medium capacity). Range 0.1–7 kW, 200V class (1-ph/3-ph 220V) and 400V class (3-ph 380V), flanges 40–176 mm, with or without a holding brake. Higher torque density and finer feedback yield better cycle repeatability.
