Home battery: which inverter and how many kWh
Customers buy batteries from us mostly to pair with hybrid solar inverters and home backup. Our typical customer this year: an 80-150 m² house running a 5-8 kW hybrid that wants to ride through 4-6 hour evening blackouts and use daytime sun afterwards. In those setups we ship one 10 kWh module or a 2×5 kWh cascade. A 60-80 m² apartment with no big ambitions – 5 kWh as a single block does the job. A house with a heat pump and AC – minimum 15 kWh.
We carry one chemistry: LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate). Lead-acid AGM is gone from our shop. Depth of discharge 50% versus 90-95% for lithium, three times fewer cycles, 5-7 year life versus 15-20. What we ask before you order a battery
First question: which inverter you have. The battery BMS and the CAN/RS485 protocol must match the inverter firmware or comms will not link. Felicity LPBA pairs with most hybrid brands. Veichi VCLB is the native match for Veichi and Deye inverters. Rosen in rack format works with Deye, Veichi, Sorotec. Second: where it sits. A heated room takes any model. An unheated outdoor box requires the version with built-in cell heating, otherwise winter charging stops.
Third: future plans. Felicity LPBA scales to 16 modules in cascade. Veichi VCLB to 8. Rosen rack is limited only by cabinet height. If you plan to grow the bank in 6-12 months, ask us. Not all models are compatible with their own revisions – BMS firmware sometimes locks to a single series parameter. We ship from our Kyiv warehouse the same day.
