The catalog covers 200+ models from 0.12 to 400 kW. W22 (TEFC, IP55) is the main workhorse class, IE2-IE3 efficiency, windings rated for direct start, soft start (soft starters) or VFD-driven (VFDs). For 380 V we ship the standard 3-phase W22. For 220 V single-phase jobs the W22 lineup is thin. We push you to AIR or another brand instead. What we ask before you order a WEG motor
First: what is the load. A centrifugal pump sizes off rated current with a 10-15% margin. A conveyor or crusher needs 25-30% torque margin. A borehole pump also needs the start regime checked. Second: speed. 1500 rpm (4-pole) is what we ship most. 3000 (2-pole) goes onto compressors and high-pressure fans. 1000 rpm or slower runs gearbox-driven mechanics.
Third: how it will be driven. Direct on-line is straightforward. If you go through a VFD, one caveat: a stock W22 without F+ class insulation can struggle with long inverter-to-motor cable runs (>30-50 m). At that point you need either the Inverter Duty lineup or a dV/dt filter on the output. Tell us the cable length and the VFD model and we will recommend.
