Delta TP04 Operator Panels — Compact Text HMI
The TP04 series from Delta Electronics is a range of basic text operator panels with monochrome STN LCD displays. These panels are designed for applications requiring simple, reliable parameter display without a graphical interface. The lineup includes 7 models with 3-inch and 4.1-inch screens, covering needs from basic monitoring to control with built-in I/O.
TP04 Series Technical Specifications
All TP04 panels feature black-and-white STN LCD matrices with a text mode of 4 lines by 20 characters. The series is divided into two subgroups based on screen size and functionality:
- TP04G (3" and 4.1") — classic text panels for monitoring and basic control. AS-index models have a 128x64 pixel screen (3"), AL-index models have 192x64 pixels (4.1").
- TP04P (3") — panels with a built-in I/O module (PLC I/O), combining HMI and controller functions in a single enclosure.
Communication protocol: Modbus. Ports: RS232 (basic models), RS232 + RS422 + RS485 (extended dual-port models).

Applications
Delta TP04 text panels are used in industrial automation tasks where a graphical interface is unnecessary but real-time parameter monitoring is essential:
- Pumping stations and ventilation — displaying pressure, flow rate, temperature; controlling operating modes.
- Conveyor systems — speed monitoring, cycle counters, alarm messages.
- Small machinery and packaging equipment — setting process parameters, status monitoring. TP04P models with built-in PLC are ideal for standalone machines.
- Lighting and climate control systems — schedule timers, setpoint adjustment, event log viewing.
