Schneider Electric Magelis STO — compact 3.4" operator panels
The Magelis STO series from Schneider Electric is a range of compact monochrome operator panels featuring a 3.4-inch display with 200x80 pixel resolution. STO panels are designed for basic control and monitoring of industrial equipment where a colour display is unnecessary, yet a reliable and user-friendly human-machine interface (HMI) is essential.
The screen uses a monochrome STN LCD matrix with backlighting (green or white depending on the model). All panels in the series feature touch-screen operation, USB ports (host and client) for programming and data exchange, and a compact housing suitable for panel-mount installation.

All five STO models share the same display size and resolution, but differ in their communication interfaces and supported protocols:

Applications
Magelis STO panels are used where a compact text-and-graphic interface is sufficient:
- Pump station control — monitoring pressure, flow rates, and alarm states
- Ventilation systems — temperature control, fan operating mode management
- Conveyor lines — sensor status display, start/stop control
- Compressor equipment — mode indication, parameter adjustment
- Small-scale production systems — integration with Zelio Logic relays (HMISTO501) or PLCs via Modbus
The HMISTO501 model works exclusively with Zelio Logic SR2/SR3 smart relays, while the HMISTO511-532 models support connection to any PLC via Modbus RTU or Modbus TCP/IP protocols.
