Delta HMI: which panel we pair with Delta PLCs
Delta HMI is our default pick when the project already runs on Delta DVP PLCs or Delta ASDA servo drives. Tags pull straight from the ISPSoft project into DOPSoft, no manual Modbus register mapping. We stock 40 models: from a 3" TP text terminal up to a 10.4" DOP-B TFT with Ethernet. Machine-tool consoles, boiler-room dispatch panels, packaging-line interfaces. Roughly half of customers who buy a Delta drive from us add a same-brand panel to the order.
Supported protocols: Modbus RTU/TCP plus 100+ drivers for third-party PLCs (Siemens S7, Mitsubishi FX/Q, Allen-Bradley, Omron). So a Delta panel will still talk to a Siemens controller if that is the existing base. DOP-B has up to 512 MB of memory and an ARM Cortex-A8 CPU, enough for dozens of screens with trends and alarm logs. One catch: DOP-A is the older line. We keep it only as a drop-in replacement for existing cabinets; for new projects we recommend DOP-B straight away.
Which screen size to pick: 7" or 10"
Our most-shipped model is DOP-B07E515 (7" with Ethernet). Customers take it for 8-15 screens with a couple of trend charts. We ship it onto conveyor lines, pump stations, boiler rooms. For more complex jobs (15+ screens, recipes, operator logs) we move up to the 10.4" DOP-A10THTD. For budget builds or embedded slots where size matters, we pick DOP-B03E211 (3" TFT with Ethernet).
What we ask before quoting. First: which PLC is already in the cabinet and via which port (RS-485, RS-232, Ethernet). Second: do you need data archiving (then we pick models with an SD slot). Third: install conditions, especially temperature (most Delta panels run 0…+50°C, no outdoor frost). Official warranty, free DOPSoft software (we send the link with the order). The DOP-B series is the primary choice for new projects: ARM Cortex-A8 processor, up to 512 MB memory, built-in Ethernet (models with E in the name). The DOP-A series is suitable for replacing legacy panels. The TP series offers budget text terminals for basic display tasks.
