CH-COMP-018-380 Compressor control cabinet 18.5 kW 380 V

Wall-mounted cabinet for a 18.5 kW compressor on a 380 V supply. At this rating we use an Eliton MKN 1083 enclosure, 1000x800x300 mm, IP54, with a separate cooling unit: the drive dissipates 2-3% of its rating and that heat has to go somewhere.

What is inside

• Veichi AC10 variable frequency drive, article AC10-T3-018G-B: 18.5 kW, 380 V input, 38 A rated current, built-in PID regulator
• Schneider Electric three-pole input circuit breaker, 63 A
• Enclosure: Eliton MKN 1083, 1000x800x300 mm, IP54, wall mounting, painted steel
• Cooling: forced ventilation 350 m3/h with a thermostat
• Installation kit: DIN rails, slotted cable ducts, power and signal wiring, cable glands, start and stop buttons, door status lights
• Drive parameters set for the motor, circuits labelled, and the cabinet tested before dispatch

How the speed is set

There is no pressure sensor in the base build. A precision 10 kOhm potentiometer on the door sets the speed, and a manual/auto selector sits on the door too. If the drive itself should hold pressure, the sensor's 0-10 V or 0-20 mA signal goes to the analogue input, and the sensor is ordered separately. Ramp times are set on our bench.

Options on request

• an output motor choke when the motor cable runs longer than 30-50 m
• a braking resistor for fast stops and high-inertia loads
• a three-contactor mains/drive bypass with mechanical and electrical interlock
• a remote operator keypad on the cabinet door
• an outdoor package: enclosure heater, second thermostat, rain hood

These are agreed separately. Write to us if the build has to change and an engineer will price the exact scope for your site, while the standard article number stays as it is, so a modified cabinet is quoted as its own line.

Lead time, warranty, documents

Build time is 7-10 working days. The clock starts at order confirmation. The assembled cabinet carries a 24-month warranty under the store's general warranty terms, and a wiring diagram plus a list of installed components ship with it, because there is no separate operating manual for the series: the build changes from order to order. We assemble the cabinet at our premises, parameterise it, run it under load. We do not travel to site. Your electrician wires it up and starts it. We support that remotely.
