Allen-Bradley PowerFlex: when we ship it, when we suggest an alternative
Allen-Bradley is the brand of Rockwell Automation (USA). We stock the brand on a limited basis. PowerFlex 4 and PowerFlex 40 in low power ratings are kept in our warehouse. The rest (PowerFlex 700, PowerFlex 753 from 11 kW) is import-on-order. Lead time from the US or Europe: 4-8 weeks. Ask us to confirm stock for your specific SKU before placing an order.
Who buys Allen-Bradley from us this year. First: plants that already run a Rockwell ecosystem with ControlLogix or CompactLogix PLCs and EtherNet/IP. There is no other equally good fit on the same fieldbus. Second: retrofits of imported equipment (US-built presses, conveyor lines) where the customer wants to keep the same parameter codes. If you are not locked into Rockwell, we are honest with you: Siemens or ABB are cheaper, in stock, and our techs support them daily.
Allen-Bradley PowerFlex product lineup
We size four series for different jobs. The small compact PowerFlex 4 and PowerFlex 40 for 1×220 V and 3×380 V. The industrial three-phase PowerFlex 700 and the modular PowerFlex 753 with EtherNet/IP. Technical parameters per series below (from manufacturer datasheet).
| Series | Power Range | Supply | Key Feature | Typical Application |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PowerFlex 4 | 0.2-3.7 kW | 1×220 V / 3×380 V | Compact footprint, basic scalar V/Hz control | Pumps, fans, light conveyors |
| PowerFlex 40 | 0.4-11 kW | 1×220 V / 3×380 V | Built-in PID controller, thermistor input | Pumps, HVAC, light material handling |
| PowerFlex 700 | 0.7-132 kW | 3×380 V | Sensorless vector control, built-in brake chopper | Hoists, press lines, heavy-duty drives |
| PowerFlex 753 | 0.7-250 kW | 3×380 V | Modular architecture, EtherNet/IP, advanced diagnostics | Industrial lines, robotic cells, oil & gas |
What we ask the customer before quoting Allen-Bradley
First. Do you already run a Rockwell ecosystem. If not, we warn you up front: Allen-Bradley pricing is 2-3x Siemens or ABB at the same kW. Second: exact SKU or motor parameters (current, kW, voltage). Third: do you actually need EtherNet/IP. Without it there is no point picking PowerFlex 753, there are cheaper series. The most-ordered models from our customers are below.
| Model (SKU) | Series | Power | Supply / Output | Input Current | Application |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 22AA3P6N103 | PowerFlex 4 | 0.7 kW | 1×220 V / 3×220 V | 3.6 A | Pump, low-power fan |
| 22BD4P0N104 | PowerFlex 40 | 1.5 kW | 3×380 V / 3×380 V | 4.0 A | Conveyor, pump |
| 20BC5P0A0AYNANC0 | PowerFlex 700 | 2.2 kW | 3×380 V / 3×380 V | 5.0 A | Hoisting equipment, vector drive |
| 20F11NC5P0JA0NNNNN | PowerFlex 753 | 2.2 kW | 3×380 V / 3×380 V | 5.0 A | Industrial lines, EtherNet/IP integration |
| 20BC022A0AYNANC0 | PowerFlex 700 | 11 kW | 3×380 V / 3×380 V | 22.0 A | Compressors, heavy-duty drives |
