How to choose a SICK sensor
Choosing the right SICK sensor depends on the automation task at hand. For object detection on conveyor lines at distances up to 1.5 m, photoelectric sensors from the WTB and VTE series are ideal. For precise angular position measurement of shafts and axes, the DFS60B and DBS50E series incremental encoders offer 1000 pulses per revolution resolution.
