Kinco MT4x00 operator panels — compact graphic terminals for industrial automation

The MT4x00 series by Kinco is a range of touch-screen operator panels (HMI) with color TFT displays from 4.3 to 12.1 inches. All models in the series feature 65,536-color screens, support the Modbus protocol, and include serial ports RS232/RS422/RS485. Models with the TE suffix additionally feature an Ethernet port with TCP/IP support for integration into networked SCADA systems.

The MT4x00 lineup is positioned as an affordable solution for building human-machine interfaces in HVAC systems, water supply, packaging machinery, and small production lines. Programming is performed using the free KincoHMIware software via the USB client port.

Application areas for Kinco MT4x00 panels

Thanks to their compact dimensions and versatile communications, MT4x00 panels are used in:

  • HVAC systems — temperature visualization, fan and pump control via variable frequency drives
  • Water treatment and supply — monitoring levels, pressure, flow rates, automatic pump switchover
  • Packaging machinery — counter displays, sealing parameters, PLC integration via Modbus
  • Compressor stations — pressure monitoring, oil temperature, runtime tracking, alarm signaling
  • Small production lines — recipe management, event logging, integration with Kinco PLCs

Other HMI panel series in our catalog

In addition to the MT4x00, we offer extended HMI series for various budgets and requirements:

  • Kinco MT5x20 — upgraded lineup with enhanced performance and Wi-Fi (28 models)
  • Kinco MT6x00 — premium series with widescreen displays and improved graphics (8 models)
  • Panasonic GT15 — Japanese quality for demanding projects (22 models)

Warranty and support

All Kinco MT4x00 panels come with a manufacturer's warranty. Our engineers can assist with model selection, PLC and VFD communication setup, and initial programming in KincoHMIware. Orders are shipped across Ukraine via Nova Poshta and Meest.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between an HMI panel and a PLC?

A PLC runs the automation logic, while the HMI shows the machine state and sends operator commands to the controller or VFD. If you need I/O and control logic, use a PLC. If you need a screen with buttons, alarms and setpoints, use an HMI.

Which HMI screen size should I choose for a control cabinet?

For a simple machine, 4.3-5.7 inches is usually enough. A 7-inch panel works well for pump stations, ventilation and small machines. Choose 10.1 inches or larger when the operator needs trends, recipes, alarm logs or several mimic screens.

Does an operator panel need Ethernet?

Ethernet is useful for Modbus TCP/IP, several controllers, remote service or connection to the plant network. If the panel is next to one VFD and communicates over RS-485, Modbus RTU is often enough.

Can an HMI be connected directly to a VFD?

Yes, if the VFD supports Modbus RTU or Modbus TCP and the register map is available. For Veichi drives we often check VI20 or VI30 panels because they fit Veichi-based control cabinets well.

What information is needed to replace an old operator panel?

Send the old panel part number, cutout size, supply voltage, port type, protocol and the project file if it is available. Without the project file, the screen project often has to be rebuilt.

Can you select an HMI for a specific PLC?

Yes. Send the PLC or VFD model, required screen size and communication method. We will check the ports and suggest the series that fits the project best.
