VFD450C43S — Delta VFD-C2000 rated 45.0 kW, 380 V / 3-phase supply, rated current 86 A, up to 600 Hz output frequency. A vector drive with FOC and built-in PLC for tasks that need precise torque, not just a start. This is the A version — no built-in EMC filter.

Typical applications:

• Heavy cranes, hoists and lifts
• Large extruders, crushers, presses
• Trunk ventilation and pumps

Note: external braking unit (VFD4045); CANopen is added with the EMC-COP01 card, Profibus with EMC-PD01. If precise torque is not critical, a cheaper alternative is Veichi AC310.

Delta VFD-C2000 — high-performance vector VFD for crane/hoist, machine tools and heavy-duty tasks

The VFD-C2000 is Delta's top vector series, not a basic spin-the-shaft drive. You pick it when you need precise torque at low speed rather than just motor start: cranes and hoists, winders, extruders, machine tools, conveyors with heavy start. In our range it is 460 V / 3-phase, 0.7 to 110 kW, with up to 600 Hz output frequency.

What engineers choose it for: full FOC (field-oriented control) and a built-in PLC. FOC runs both sensorless and with an encoder (PG), and supports asynchronous as well as synchronous (PM) motors. The built-in PLC logic lets you embed motion steps or PID right in the drive, so a simple node no longer needs a separate controller. Modbus RTU (RS-485) is standard for the series (per manufacturer); CANopen and Profibus are added via the optional EMC-COP01 and EMC-PD01 cards.

What VFD-C2000 is for

• Crane, hoist, lifts: FOC delivers high starting torque at low speed — exactly what load lifting needs.
• Machine tools, extruders, winding: precise torque and speed holding across a wide range.
• Conveyors with heavy start: stable ramp-up under load.
• Pumps and ventilation: built-in PID maintains pressure/flow without an external controller.

How VFD-C2000 differs from simpler series

Honestly: for an ordinary pump or exhaust fan the C2000 is overkill. Where sensorless vector is enough, the cheaper, simpler choice is Veichi AC310. The C2000 earns its price on crane/hoist, precise torque and larger 460 V ratings.

A and E versions, braking

In the part number: A means no built-in EMC filter, E means built-in EMC filter (handy when you must meet EMC requirements without an external filter). A built-in braking module is present up to roughly 30 kW; from 37 kW and up the braking unit/resistor is external (models like VFD4045, VFD4110).

When C2000 is NOT the right choice

• Single-phase 220 V mains — this series has no such models here; see Veichi AC310 (single-phase versions) or VFD-E.
• A simple V/f task with no precise torque — you'd overpay; go with Veichi AC10.

Customers buy the C2000 mostly for lifting equipment and machine building, where torque and precision matter more than saving money. Two questions come up most: will FOC handle a crane at low speed (yes, that is what the series is built for) and is external braking needed (up to ~30 kW, no; above that, yes).
