VFD-C2000 Series Frequency Converters
VFD-C2000 Series Frequency Converters are one of the most functional and modern series created by the leading Taiwanese company Delta Electronics, which specializes in electric drives.
Features of the VFD-C2000 Series
This series of frequency converters can operate in various modes:
- Scalar mode without encoder
- Scalar mode with encoder
- Vector mode without encoder
- Vector mode with encoder
Additionally, the VFD-C2000 has the capability to control:
- Speed
- Torque
- Position
The converter features a built-in programmable logic controller (PLC) with 10,000 steps, which can be programmed using the free software IPS-Soft from Delta Electronics. This converter also has a removable LCD control panel, allowing for customization of the operator panel, including the ability to upload images, such as a company logo, as well as displaying graphs of motor speed, output current, output voltage, and other values.
Additional Features
The VFD-C2000 frequency converters also contain:

- Built-in braking transistor (switch) – in models up to 30 kW inclusive
- Radio frequency (RFI) filter
- Built-in PID controller, as well as PDFF control, which eliminates overshoot and reduces system response
- MODBUS and CANOPEN protocols
- Stable speed control at low frequencies, with the ability to deliver up to 200% torque at zero speed in encoder mode
- Energy-saving algorithm that reduces voltage to the motor while maintaining necessary torque
Additionally, the VFD-C2000 series converters have the capability to connect expansion boards for integrating encoders, DeviceNet, PROFIBUS-DP, Ethernet/IP, and MODBUS TCP network interfaces.
Applications
These frequency converters are ideal for use in heavy machinery such as:
- Lifting equipment
- Cranes
- Elevators
- Escalators
- Travelators
- Crushers
VFD-C2000 is a reliable choice for systems that require high starting torque.
