Frequency converters Bosch Rexroth - application in a semi-automatic printing machine

Description of the tablet machine operation

During the operation of the tablet machine, the material to be printed is secured on its table, while the printing plate is fixed above it. Under the pressure of the squeegee, the ink seeps through the open cells of the plate onto the material, providing the necessary contact between the plate and the material, as well as the transfer of ink to the printed elements. This results in the rupture of the ink layer, which affects the print quality.

The ink penetrates through the cells of the plate onto the sheet to be printed and is secured to its surface. To successfully separate the sheet from the printing plate, sufficient force must be applied, which is determined by the following factors:

  1. ink viscosity;
  2. ink temperature;
  3. printing speed;
  4. adhesion force of the printed sheet to the printing surface;
  5. screen tension;
  6. angle of the squeegee sharpening and the profile of the squeegee pressing surface.

Capabilities of the equipment

  • VK panel in Russian, LED panel, dust cover to meet various customer needs.
  • Various communication interfaces and I/O extension boards to meet different control requirements.
  • Free software for convenient parameter setting, monitoring, and remote control.
  • Comprehensive motor protection and fault alarm functions increase user safety.

Operating features

  1. High starting torque - in vector control mode, the output torque reaches 200% at zero position.

Printing components

  1. Squeegee as the main moving element that performs a reciprocating motion and removes excess ink from the gap elements of the printing cylinder.
  2. Linear movement module - a mechanical platform for horizontal movement.
  3. Drying device - a tube with ultraviolet ray ensures drying.

Control electrical components

  • Control of the working cycle, squeegee position control, pressure monitoring. The operation of the machine involves the longitudinal movement of the squeegee and scraper, which is carried out by two frequency converters: VFC 3610 for horizontal movement and 5610 for vertical.

Functional requirements

  1. Discrete inputs and analog speed setting via an external potentiometer.

Working performance requirements

Competitive advantages

  1. VFC 3610 will increase productivity due to quick response in startup and stopping, providing tower stability and advantages over competitors.
  2. VFC 5610 with improved SVC vector control provides high starting and torque, allowing for quick start of the vertical mechanism from any position.
